Warning bogus telephone callers at work!!
It has been brought to the attention of the Parish Council that bogus telephone calls are being made in the area to residents from crooks claiming to be from your Bank.
They claim that they are calling in relation to a court settlement which entitles YOU to receive a windfall from the Bank.
They ask for debit/credit card details and other information trying to gain your confidence.
Please do not be fooled by these crooks. If you are entitled to receive any windfall from your Bank, then they will write to you, they certainly would not call you over the phone or email you to request banking information that they should already have.
If you have any doubts over any calls made to you, from people claiming to be from your Bank, hang up and contact your bank for clarification. Never give personal details away over the phone or in reply to an un-solicited email.
